PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an inorg. building material capable of easily forming a pattern molding by press molding without degrading its strength. SOLUTION: In the production method of a rock wool plate, a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin, a melamine resin or their combinations are used as a binder. Steam is sprayed on a lamellar material 1 in a state in which curing of the material 1 is stopped at a B stage without completely curing the lamellar material 1 for the rock wool plate before molding, then the material 1 is subjected to the pattern molding by press molding. In this way, the thermosetting binder in the B stage is softened with the steam, and buckling is not caused at the time of the pattern molding by the press molding. |
