<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device such that a high voltage secondary current generated in an ignition coil can be efficiently supplied to a spark plug. SOLUTION: A variable capacitor 15 is connected to an ignition secondary circuit part, supplying a high voltage secondary current generated in a secondary coil 13b of an ignition coil 13 to a spark plug 14, in parallel to the secondary coil 13b, so as to form a series resonance circuit by the secondary coil 13b, as a power source and coil, and the variable capacitor 15. An electric capacity of the variable capacitor 15 is set so as to resonate relating to self inductance of the secondary coil 13b, that is, so as to maximize a high voltage current supplied to the spark plug 14, under a frequency of the high voltage secondary current generated from the secondary coil 13b.</p> |
