PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high density granular detergent compsn. which, even when utilized in washing using highly hard water, does not produce water insolubles derived from a crystalline aluminosilicate and does not pose a problem of deposition of water insolubles to the laundry. SOLUTION: This high-density granular detergent compsn. comprises 20 to 50wt.% surfactant and 10 to 30wt.% aluminosilicate and the following additional components: a) 0.5 to 10wt.% crystalline silicate having an average particle diameter of 5 to 100μm, b) a non-crystalline silicate in an amt. up to 20wt.%, the total amt. of the non-crystalline silicate and crystalline silicate being 4 to 30wt.%, the crystalline silicate: noncrystalline silicate ratio being (1:10) to (10:1), and c) at least one member, in an amt. of 0.5 to 10wt.%, selected from among polyacrylic acid having average mol.wt. of 10,000 to 100,000, a copolymer of maleic acid with acrylic acid or an olefin, and a sodium salt of polyacetal carboxylate.
