Moisture is recovered from air inside an insulated vertical section of the tower, through which air is free to flow in an upwards or downwards direction, so that a vertical air pump is formed. Heat extracted from the ventilation system and kitchen of the house is returned to the house in winter, whilst during summer the tower returns cold, dry air. |
