FIELD: medicinal industry, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: method involves the optimization of fermentation process by maintenance of viscosity value at the range 60-100 x 10Pa x s and carbohydrate concentration by corn flour hydrolyzate addition. Producer of antibiotic amphotericin - Actinomyces nodosus - is grown on the nutrient medium containing, weight%: corn flour 9-12%; corn extract 0.4-0.5; ammonium sulfate 0.5-1.0; propinol B-400 0.01-0.02; fish oil 0.3-0.4; chalk 0.6-1.4 under aeration and stirring. At viscosity value in cultural fluid 60 x 10Pa x s for 40-60 hr growth the first addition is carried out (200 l corn flour hydrolyzate, 10% of fermentation medium volume); the second and third additions of corn flour hydrolyzate were carried out according viscosity value by its maintenance at the range 60-100 x 10Pa x s. Time addition interval is 18-24 hr. Amphotericin concentration in cultural fluid after 110 hr growth is 7890 U/ml, volume is 2.5 m, antibiotic yield is 19.7 billion x U, output is 0.0537 billion/U x mx hr.
