FIELD: nondestructive testing, metrological support and inspection of means of ultrasonic flaw detection. SUBSTANCE: in accordance with method signal from reflector positioned at depth equal to value of nearest zone is used as reference signal. Time of propagation of ultrasonic oscillations is measured and reflection power of reflectors is evaluated by comparison of obtained experimental dependence with similar calculated dependence.
