PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key driving device which ensures smooth key touch operation according to the respective characteristics of the different key touch operations even if either operation of the manual key touch operation and the automatic key touch operation is carried out. SOLUTION: A turning lever 21 turns clockwise cooperatively with the suction of a plunger 17 when the plunger is sucked in the rear end direction of a key by energizing a solenoid 18 at the time of the automatic key touch operation for automatic playing. A pin 5 engaged with the curved part at the other end of the turning level 21 is then pulled in a perpendicular direction and, therefore, a white key 2a is driven downward in a depressing direction. The other end of the turning lever 21 with which the pin 5 is engaged is designed not to restrain the downward movement of the pin 5 and, therefore, if the white key 2a is manually depressed, the white key is pushed down to the prescribed key touch depth without being hindered by the turning lever 21 at all at the time of the manual key touch operation for manual playing. A rubber switch part 3B is pushed by the touched key 2a even in the case of either operation of the manual key touch operation and the automatic key touch operation and, therefore, the musical tone of the corresponding pitch is generated in response therewith. |
