PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detecting device where a vehicle is surely detected without being affected by night and day, rain or fag, etc. SOLUTION: Respective light emitting equipment (111-113) to (141-143) are provided in bar-form in the driving direction X of the vehicle 5 or in the width direction W which is orthogonal to the driving direction X in a monitor area 41. A camera 21 photographs monitor area 41 containing the light emitting equipments (111-113) to (141-143) and its video signal S11 is outputted. A processor 3 detects presence or absence of the vehicle 5 by luminance data of a measurement line which is virtually set as against the video signal S11. |
