PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image defects such as sandy ground fogging and transfer explosion in an image forming device capable of forming a binary digital latent image and a multilevel digital latent image. SOLUTION: On the surface of a photoreceptor drum 1 after electrification, a binary digital latent image or a multilevel digital latent image is formed by image exposure light L from an exposure means, is developed with toner by a developing means 3, and the toner image is transferred onto a transfer material P by the transfer roller 4 of a transfer means. A transfer bias which is applied to the transfer roller 4 is changed according to whether the digital latent image is binary image or multilevel image. Therefore, the optimum transfer-bias can be applied to each of the latent images. |
