PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a digital modulator without need for a broad frequency band. SOLUTION: The modulator is provided with a control circuit 4 and a frequency phase conversion table 5 by which 3-bit parallel data are converted into a frequency phase code consisting of combinations of 4 kinds of frequency information sets and 2 kinds of phase information sets depending on a corresponding code word data, and also with a frequency phase generator 6 by which the parallel data are converted into a modulation signal being a matrix consisting of elements of 8 kinds of frequency phase slots and 7 time slots according to the frequency phase code. |
