PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute usage of a large amt. of conversion table for traveling guide by compactly preparing the table from a standardized link into unique link for each vehicle. SOLUTION: A navigation CPU 11 designates a required number of standardized map areas and obtains road information in relation to them from VICSECU 2. The converting table where the VICS link included in the map area is converted into the in-ECU link being intrinsic to its own vehicle is previous stored in a CDROM 4. The navigation CPU 11 transfers a part of the converting table from CDROM 4 to an internal memory 12 concerning the required number of map areas, converts the VICS link included in the required number of map areas into the in-ECU link by a part of the transferred converting table and traveling of the vehicle is guided based on the in-ECU link and obtained road information.
