摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron tube which has quick acting performance and high total power conversion efficiency by providing an electron beam emitting negative electrode and an electron beam trap electrode which have a lot of pin cold emitters and gate electrodes having gate holes. SOLUTION: A control voltage of 0 or±several volts is supplied from a gate power supply 31 to a gate electrode 24 of a negative electrode 11 when operating. A negative voltage of several hundreds volts is applied from Wehnelt power supply 32 to Wehnelt electrode 12 and a positive accelerating voltage of several kV is applied from an accelerating power supply 33 to an accelerating electrode 13. A positive collector voltage of several kV is applied from a collector power supply 34 to a collector electrode 15. The gate electrode 24 is controlled at an appropriate potential so that electrons are emitted from respective emitters 22, pass through the matching gate holes 23, and irradiated in the collector electrode direction by the accelerating potential from the accelerating electrode. This constitution allows large current control and in the case of progressing in the negative electrode direction, generated plus ions are trapped by an ion trap electrode 14 so as not to reach the negative electrode.</p>
