PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a motor driving current and reduce the vibration, noise and power consumption of a stepping motor which are caused by the non- following of the current which is the problem of a conventional stepping motor controller by a method wherein the motor driving current is subjected to the PWM control and the supplied energy is controlled to be optimum in accordance with the revolution of the motor. SOLUTION: The period of the repetition of ON/OFF of signals generated by the pulse frequency setting part 1 of a PWM control unit is predetermined. The duty of the pulses after the frequency is set by the pulse frequency setting part 1 is set by a pulse duty setting part 3. The datum of the pulse frequency setting part 1 is inputted to a frequency counter 2. The output of the frequency counter 2 and the datum of the pulse duty setting part 3 are compared with each other by a comparator 4 to generate a motor driving pulse. A motor driving part 6 drives the stepping motor by motor driving pulses outputted from a PWM controller. |
