DIELECTRIC FILTER, ITS PRODUCTION AND PACKAGE BODY PACKAGING THE FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent peeling on the outer peripheral ends of plural I/O electrodes and the inner peripheral end of an external electrode caused by external stress such as heat by covering the outer peripheral parts of the I/O electrodes and the inner peripheral end of the external electrodes with an electrode protection film. SOLUTION: Plural U-shaped non-electrode formation parts 5 are formed on the upper face side of a dielectric substance 1 and island-like I/O electrodes 6 are formed in respective formation parts 5 opposite to right and left through holes 2. The electrodes 6 and an external electrode 3a are curved at each corner part to prevent the concentration of external stress on the corner parts. The outer peripheral ends of the electrode 6, the formation part 5 and the electrode protection film 8 covering the inner peripheral end of the electrode 3a are provided to protect the electrode end parts having weak peeling strength. Glass paste obtained by mixing a crystallized glass component having high temperature characteristic into an amorphous glass component which is rewelded at a high temperature though it has large strength is used for the protection film 8 to prevent rewelding under the high temperature. Consequently the generation of peeling on the outer peripheral end of the electrodes 6 and the inner peripheral end of the electrode 3a caused by external stress such as heat can be prevented.
