PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for producing an oxide superconducting coil durable against the electromagnetic force in high magnetic field wherein deterioration of superconducting characteristics can be suppressed during the production process. SOLUTION: A heat resistant ceramic which does not react on an oxide superconductor 2 during the heat treatment process and causes no thermal strain in the superconductor during the cooling process is employed as the material of an inter-turn insulation layer 3 for preventing short-circuiting of an oxide superconductor coil. The gap between turns is then impregnated with insulating resin such that the insulation layer 3 exhibits thermal shrinkage similar to that of the oxide superconductor 2 when the coil is subsequently subjected to cryogenic cooling. |
