PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface mount thin transformer in which the core can be inserted even if a mounting terminal is located slightly over a core hole by providing a surface mount terminal planted outward in the vicinity of each end at a holding part, and a plurality of core plates being inserted into the tubular part of a bobbin. SOLUTION: A core plate 30 thin enough to be inserted into a small gap between a mounting terminal 17-20 and the hole 25 of a bobbin 11 is inserted obliquely into the hole 25 through the gap. The core plate 30 is shifted slightly and gradually in the hole 25 and contained horizontally in the hole 25 and then it is inserted sequentially while ensuring a gap in the hole 25. Consequently, the thin core plate 30 can be inserted even if the position of a mounting terminal 17-20 is lapped slightly over the position of core insertion hole 25. Since the position of mounting terminal 11-20 can be set with some allowance, the size of a transformer can be reduced optimally. |
