摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to rapidly execute alignment by finding the max. point of a light quantity in an instant by a two-dimensional position detector having a wide photodetecting area and moving the front end of an optical fiber to this point and finely adjusting its center. SOLUTION: The position detector(PSD) 77 is fixed alongside the front end 9 of the optical fiber on a sensor supporting base 94. This sensor supporting base 94 stops at a reflection position in the beginning of measurement so that the light of a semiconductor laser 16 enters the region of a diameter of 2mm indicating the high resolution of the PSD 77 at all times. The position of the convergent point on the light receiving surface of the PSD 77 is determined and the front end 9 of the optical fiber is moved to this point until the front end 9 of the optical fiber aligns to the convergent point. The front end 9 of the optical fiber is introduced at a stroke to the scanning region and the light of some intensity is made incident on the optical fiber. The optical fiber is thereafter further finely moved while the direction where the light is intensified is searched by a power meter 11, by which the max. light quantity point (optimum point) is found in the final.
