PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch which is small in size, high in performance and low in cost by disposing static bare optical fibers and movable bare optical fibers fixed to face diagonally each other and joining these fibers with inexpensive members. SOLUTION: The end faces of the static bare optical fibers and movable bare optical fibers fixed to a cylindrical pipe 11 are formed diagonally to face each other. The cylindrical pipes 10 and 11 are guided by guiding pins, by which the rotation is regulated. The central part of the cylindrical pipe 10 is provided with a relief sunk groove 18 for averting the contact of a magnetic material 5 fixed to the movable bare optical fibers 1. The cylindrical pipes 7, 10, 11 are held by short-sized cylindrical sleeves 14a, 14b. The magnetic material 5 is divided to plural pieces. |
