PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of saving power more than before. SOLUTION: In this television receiver for switching a horizontal drive transistor 3 by the output signals of a horizontal oscillation circuit 2, driving the horizontal drive transistor by the output signals on the secondary side of a horizontal drive transformer 4 and executing power supply to the horizontal oscillation circuit 2 from a standby power supply 1 for outputting a power supply voltage in a normal driving state and in a standby state where a main switch is not turned off, a transistor 7 for driving a relay is conducted by switching signals from the standby state to the normal driving state, the relay is switched and the power is supplied to a circuit for which the power supply is turned off in the standby state. Also, the base potential of the horizontal drive transistor 3 is switched by the switching signals and the horizontal drive transistor 3 is turned off during standby. |
