PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image communication equipment in which data are recorded/reproduced without changing a data form sent through a channel by connecting a channel with other communication equipment having a coding decoding means independently of the equipment configuration of this communication equipment. SOLUTION: A communication interface 6 connecting to a communication channel is controlled by a terminal control section consisting of an MPU 1, a program ROM 2, a work RAM 3, a peripheral I/O interface 4, and an operation section 5 or the like. Communication data via the communication interface 6 are recorded entirely in a data recording and reproducing section 8 independently of contents of the data and reproduced and sent to the communication channel. A speech processing section provided with a voice processing section 7 and a handset 9 is connected to the communication channel via the interface 6 and used for a video telephone system. |
