PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a characteristic value and discrimination data showing whether data is normally written or not on a vehicle data recording device recording and preserving the characteristic value showing the state of a vehicle into a non-volatile memory under a prescribed condition. SOLUTION: Acceleration operating on the vehicle is recorded into RAM at any times. When deceleration exceeding a prescribed level operates on the vehicle, acceleration data in RAM is recorded into EEPROM. At the time of starting writing data, start data '0A' is recorded into a writing flag area of EEPROM (step 202). All acceleration data in RAM are written into EEPROM (steps 204-214), termination data 'A0' is overwritten into the writing flag area (step 216). |
