<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance workability when the lead wire of a primary coil is temporarily held and soldered to the primary terminal of an ignition coil and to shorten the required length of the lead wire by preventing the solder from hanging. SOLUTION: Insulation resin is injected into an insulation case 5 and cured to produce an insulation resin layer 6. At least a primary coil 1 to be fitted over a core 3, a secondary coil 2 to be fitted over the primary coil 1, and a primary connector 4 supporting a primary terminal 13 for feeding a current to the primary coil are secured in the insulation case to produce a molded ignition coil for the internal combustion engine. In such an ignition coil, a recess is made at the end of the primary terminal while the lead wire of the primary coil is turned back at the end thereof and hooked to the recess.</p> |
