The cap (1) for the neck (3) of a flask (2) has an elastic lining (6) which floats laterally to fix onto the neck. The lining can be snap fitted into the cap. The lining can have an external rim (7) cooperating with an interior profile (8) of a bore (5) in the cap to allow limited lateral play. The play can be between 0.5 and 3mm. The lining can have a diameter similar to that of the flask neck and can have a snap fit relief (10) cooperating with a similar relief in the neck.
