PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing unit by which compressed information is easily processed. SOLUTION: A buffer circuit 1 provides an output of video data from a CDD 20 to a syntax analysis circuit 2 and a switch circuit 5 in response to a read request signal from the syntax analysis circuit 2. The syntax analysis circuit 2 makes analyzes of video data according to a syntax rule of the MPEG1. Then output data of the switch circuit 5 are monitored by a bit rate counter circuit 7, then the data are outputted to a decoder 40 at a prescribed bit rate at all times. |
