FIXING METHOD FOR OPTICAL CABLE END PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a tension member without stripping a slot rod by inserting a spacer into the groove of a slot rod end part without leaving any gap and clamping and fixing the tension member with a half-ring type clamp member by slot rods from the slot rods. SOLUTION: The spacer 50 which is so shaped and sized to conform with a groove 26 is inserted into the slight range of an end part of the slot rod 25 without leaving any gap. The spacer 50 is formed of relatively soft metal that a projection 542 can intrude into at least to length larger than the width of a clamp member 54. After the spacer 50 is inserted into the groove 26 at the end part, the clamp member 54 is applied on it and clamped with a bolt 546. Consequently, the tension member 24 is clamped by the clamp member 54 across a slot rod 546 and spacer 50 and the tension member 24 is fixed to a stay 14 eventually.
