PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital cordless telephone set in which power consumption is reduced. SOLUTION: Data from a DTE section 1 such as personal computer or the like are received by a data I/F section 2 and the received data are stored in an FIFO section 3. A radio transmission section 4 sends data stored in the FIFO section 3 in a radio signal, based on a VOX function. The transmission based on the VOX function is controlled by a VOX section 5. The transmission is controlled as burst transmission and when transmission data are less than one burst, a VOX burst signal is sent. The power consumption is reduced when no data are in existence or the reception speed from the DTE section 1 is lower than the radio transmission speed by selecting the transmission timing of the VOX burst signal to be each prescribed number of times of transmission. |
