PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a quick maintenance possible by automatically displaying the map around a faulty point when faults such as an earth and a short occur on a transmission line. SOLUTION: When a fault on a transmission line 13 is detected by an FL panel 15 of a transformer station 11, a control station 14 which controls a plurality of transformer stations and switchyards receives from the transformer station 11 the data about a distance Ln from the transformer station 11 to a faulty point P. Based on the data preliminarily registered in a floppy disc 22 including a distance to each steel tower F1, F2,..., FN and a latitude and longitude of each steel tower, the control station 14 reads out the latitude and longitude of the steel tower F2 which is the nearest to the faulty point P. Then, the control station 14 reads out the map information of an area to correspond to the faulty point P from the map information recorded in a CD-ROM disc 23 and then displays the information on a screen of a personal computer 20. |
