摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method where an excellent image is constantly and stably obtained without causing the occurrence of fogging and the deterioration of sensitivity, density and resolving performance even in the case that image forming is repeatedly performed by using a toner recycling system. SOLUTION: The image of a large number of sheets are formed by repeating respective stages of charging, image exposing, developing, transferring and cleaning, on an electrophotographic photoreceptor. A photoreceptor 10 where an uppermost surface layer incorporates inorganic particles whose Mohs hardness is >=5, is used, and also toner recovered by a cleaning stage is carried to a developing process, so that it is reused. The photoreceptor 10 has an electric charge generating layer and plural electric charge transporting layers laminated on it, and the film strength of the uppermost surface layer of the photoreceptor 10 is made so that the depth of a scratch at the time of applying the perpendicular load of 200g by using a diamond needle whose top end radius is 0.3mm is 0.1-1.0μm.
