A pressure-activated area (18) is provided and an operating space (20) remaining under normal pressure, which is separated from the pressure-activated area by a pressure wall (22). The pressure-activated area for its part is divided by an immersion wall (24) into a space (26) receiving mining equipment and a compensation space (28). In the division area between the mining space and the compensation space is a downwardly terminating floor wall (30) extending over the lower end of the immersion wall and partly covering the immersion wall to the mining space. Between the immersion wall and the floor wall, communication openings (32) are formed for pressure and flow connection between the mining space, and the compensation space.
