There is provided the use of an allylic alcohol perfume precursor, preferabl y an ester, wherein the allylic alcohol perfume is selected from geraniol, ner ol and mixtures thereof, for reducing malodours selected from perspiration, smoke, kitchen smells and mixtures thereof. Also provided herein is the use of an allylic alcohol perfume selected from geraniol, nerol and mixtures thereo f for reducing malodours selected from smoke, kitchen smells and mixtures thereof.
