Prodn. of a resin additive (A) for a liq. paint comprises hardening a thermosetting resin (I) and comminuting the hardened (I) to a particle size of not more than 20 (pref. not more than 15) mu m. Also claimed are (A), and a paint compsn. consisting of a liq. paint in which (A) is dispersed.
