There are light sources (10) in the form of three white light lamps (10A,10B,10C), providing three beams (12,14,16) with lines of differing character. Behind these light sources there are three light-protecting filters (18A,18B,18C) and three interference filters (20,22,24) with a narrow bandpass in the red, green and blue zones, illuminating the matt disc (26). Immediately behind the disc is a first TFT-LCD picture matrix (28), connected through a light-wave conductor module (30) with a second TFT-LCD picture matrix (32). Behind the second matrix there is another light-wave conductor module (34), performing a pixel masking function.
