The steering shaft is fastened to a steering axle (3) via a reduced-shaft screw (4), connected to the axle. The screw has a collar (7a) at the end, and this engages over a steering wheel hub (2). The hub presses an intermediate sleeve (5) against a ball bearing (11), which is supported on a shoulder (12) of the steering shaft. The ball bearing is also supported on a shoulder (13) of a jacket tube (14). The intermediate sleeve supports itself on the inner ring (10) of the ball bearing. The screw is held with a thread (6) in a threaded section (8) of the steering axle.
