<p>Sets of articles (A) to be stacked containing a selected predetermined numbers of the articles (A) are taken from hoppers. These sets of articles (A) are superposed (6) to form groups which are in turn intended to be supplied to an output conveyor (8) in which two or more groups are superposed to form the desired stacks. The apparatus lends itself for use, for example, in plants for the automatic packaging of food products such as biscuits, crackers and the like, with the possibility of forming stacks including a large number of articles (A) and with the further possibility of varying the number of articles in the stacks quickly and simply. <IMAGE></p> |
