<p>An apparatus (10) and method for automatically wrapping at least one eating utensil (12) in a napkin (14) includes a receiving area (18) for at least one utensil (12) and at least one napkin (14), and a mechanism (20) for automatically wrapping. The mechanism (20) for automatically wrapping includes a frame (22), a flexible belt (24) disposed in the frame (22), and a belt manipulation device (30). The belt (24) has a first surface (26) adapted for frictional contact with the napkin (14). At least a portion of the belt (24) is movable to form a trough (34) in which the napkin (14) and utensil (12) are manipulated and urged by frictional contact with the belt (24) to fold and roll, automatically wrapping the utensil (12).</p> |
