Elastic connection for flanged piping

The connection is made between two disc-shaped pipe flanges (11,12), which each have openings for fastening to the other. The flanges are completely embedded in a elastomeric body (15). Bushes with internal threads (17) are installed in at least one part of the openings. The axial length (18) with which each bush extends from the surface (19) of the flange, may be such that the thread opening (20) is roughly level with the outer surface (21) of the elastomeric body. The thread in the bush may also be formed in a bore which is closed at one end.
