Four stroke combustion engine with folding combustion chamber

The engine's combustion chamber consists of four wall elements (1). These are joined together by hinged double joints (2,3) to form a folding frame. This changes in volume via alternate pushing actions along its diagonal axes (8,9) as far as the end points. In this way each working cycle is divided into four sections corresponding to the four working strokes, namely expansion, exhaust, induction and compression.
