The machine's working strokes take place through a magnetic coupling. This coupling is either between a displacement disc (5) and a hot part (3), or between the displacement disc and a working membrane (7). The machine has a housing (2) made from an insulating material with the hot part as the upper part and a cold part (4) as the lower part. The displacement disc floats within the housing and the working membrane, which has magnets (8,9) and divides two air spaces (13,14).
