Position-fixing system using GPS at measurement and reference stations

The system is built around a main positioning station (20) and a number of GPS measurement devices (40,50) from which data are supplied to its inputs via connectors (120). One device (40) constitutes a reference station, and the other (50) a measurement station. A co-ordinate assembler/convertor (60) at the main positioning station produces a combined co-ordinate value from the input data and local measurements. The reference station has a baseline processor (45) converting the GPS measurement into a GPS co-ordinate value.
