Drag chain driver with seat for horizontal chain element hinge pins

The seat (9) for the drag pin on the driver element (8) should have a widened base surface (19) of width (B1) equal or almost equal to that (B2) of the drag chain itself (1). The chain comprises two vertical flanks (3,4) as outside chain part (2) as opposed to the inner chain elements (6) whose elongated body (7) fits in each case between the flank ends of the adjoining outside chain element. The driver is also formed from one of these inner elements. The base of the inner chain element body is locally thickened (22,23) both sides (20,21) so the thickened parts lie spaced above the underside of the chain and the thickened parts are widened out (24,25) right the way along to sit on the opposing sides of the driving surface (27) of the specified seat. This base area can be bevelled to one or both sides from centre.
