A LEAD AUTO-RETREAT DEVICE IN MECHANICAL PENCIL

A lead auto-retreat device in mechanical pencil comprising, besides the main elements of the conventional mechanical pencil, such as a chuck (4); a chuck-holder (6); a sleeve (5); a spring (7) and a knob, a chuck-holding-ring (10) located at the front part of the internal space of pencil beyond the normal moving range (S) of the chuck (4) and a chuck-detaching-ring (11) installed at the front middle part of the internal space of pencil apart from the chuck-holding-ring (10) with the distance (W) for a pencil-lead to be sufficiently retreated back inside the lead-guide-tube, so that the pencil-lead may be retreated automatically back to the lead-guide-tube just by releasing the knob after pressing more deeply for the chuck to move beyond normal moving range (S).
