Thermoplastic plastics strip has a uni-coloured sheath around a coloured structurised core. Also claimed is a method of producing the strip by plasticising an uncoloured or uni-coloured plastics base material in an extruder; and dosing coloured material(s) at predetermined point(s) of the extruder, pref. where the melt index and/or temp. of the core material is higher than that of the added material(s).
