Servo valve, especially for power=assisted steering on motor vehicles

The valve is especially on a power-assisted steering unit, and has a slide (2) which is controlled by at least one normally open throttle. The latter has inlet and outlet throttles which can be controlled by edges on the slide and its housing. The movement of the slide controls the inlet and outlet throttles in opposite senses, and alters the pressure on an actuator connection which is arranged between them. A stop valve (14',15) is arranged on the inlet side of the inlet throttle, and has a sealing element (15) which works together with a recess (16) on the slide which is in the form of a control curve. The element is raised from its closed position as soon as the slide leaves its normal position.
