FOLDING MACHINE

In order to improve a folding machine for securing together the edges of two sheet-metal components enclosing an angle between them, with a frame, a folding slide movable on the frame via a drive in a guide running along a folding direction and having at least one pair of folding rollers for folding the edges of the components, and with a holding device on the frame to secure the components during the folding process, in such a way that large and especially long sheet-metal components can be easily handled and inserted into said folding machine, it is proposed that the guide be movable in a substantially vertical direction and that the folding machine have supporting surfaces arranged on a plane running perpendicularly to the folding direction, on which the components can be fitted on edges running transversely to the edges to be folded.
