Measurement especially of internal dimensions of workpieces

The method employs two feelers (9,12) with axial relative adjustment, mechanical transmission elements (8,4) and sensors for comparison of the feeler positions with a scale. A processing unit operates on the signals from the sensors for calibration of the elasticity of the measuring set-up. The feelers are preferably rigidly coupled and loaded with different stresses. A functional relationship is evaluated between the force exerted on the workpiece and the measured and recorded values.
