Optical waveguide switch

The waveguide switch has at least two first waveguides which each end in the end faces of respective first ferrules (1). All of the first ferrules (1) are arranged parallel to each other in a common plane. A second optical waveguide ends in the end surface of a second ferrule (2). The end surface of the second ferrule (2) lies in the same plane as the end surfaces of the first ferrule (1). The second ferrule (2) can be moved relative to the first ferrules (1) perpendicular to their axes for optical coupling with any one of the first ferrules (1). In the respective coupling position the second ferrule (2) is aligned with the first ferrule (1).
