Injection syringe arrangement

An injection syringe arrangement comprises: an injection needle (8) which is held in a retracted position against spring pressure; and a housing into which the needle is withdrawn (13). The needle moves forwards rapidly to project out of the housing when a release knob (17) is actuated. Injection fluid is accommodated in a chamber (7) receiving a precisely metered quantity of medicament. Pref. the needle passes through a plunger (3) which is located in a cylinder whose rearwards aperture is closed by a sealing stopper (6), the metered vol. being in the space between plunger and stopper. A transfer cannula (5) passes through the stopper and is connected to a liq. container (18) in the rearwards part of the housing.
