The exchange time warning device for a catalyst converter, comprises: an exhaust gas concentration detector(10) for detecting the concentration of exhaust gas from the catalyst converter in accordance with an optical signal transmission operation of an optical sensor to output the detected signal as an electric signal; an amplifier(20) for amplifying the electric signal from the exhaust gas concentration detector(10) up to a predetermined value; a data converter(30) for converting the amplified analogous output signal from the amplifier(20) into a digital signal; a controller(40) for comparing the output signal from the data converter(30) with an electric signal corresponding to a predetermined reference value of exhaust gas concentration and for displaying a warning indication informing the exchange time; a display driver(50) for driving the warning indication; and a display(60) on which the warning indication is displayed.
