PURPOSE:To use a display screen efficiently by storing prescribed map information in a map storage part with plural pieces of section map information, and setting section map information on a current position at a necessary corner of a display device according to a prescribed program in a ROM. CONSTITUTION:The current position S1 is in the area of section map information with an address 11 and at the lower left end of an area 24A1 at a time t1. When a current position S2 moves to an address 22 at t2, it occupies the lower left end of a display screen area 24A2. This navigation device has a GPS signal reception part 12 and the display device which displays the current position of a moving body and a relative section map one over the other, and information in the map storage part 20 consists of plural pieces of section map information; and the section map including the current position is set at the necessary corner of the display device 24 by the prescribed program in the ROM in a CPU 18. For the purpose, the current position is set in the center of the display screen, which is used effectively for navigation. |
