The milking machine consists of a box (1), having an internal space (4), with an inlet port (5), which allows access into the internal space to the end of a teat, and an outlet port (6), which acts to link the internal space to a container for receiving the milk. The body of the box is designed to form a valve seat (13), around the opening of the passage into the internal space, and to form a valve, with the co-operation of the valve body (9), which is located in the internal space. The axis (10) of the valve extends through the wall of the box and the element (12) which operates the valve, is fitted on the axis line. This element operates the valve by displacing the valve body along the primary line (o), which is parallel to the axis, from a closed position to an open position, when activated by the vacuum in the chamber. The operating element is then pulled on to the face (14) of the flange and the valve moves further along the secondary line (p) to fully open. |
